What is different about working in Colorado City
- Septic permitting runs through Mohave County Development Services Environmental Quality at (928) 757-0903, not the Utah health department.
- Arizona uses a Notice of Intent to Discharge under a Type 4.02 general permit, and a passing perc test comes first.
- A well has to stay at least 100 feet from the septic system under Mohave County rules.
- Utility locates on this side go through Arizona 811, not Blue Stakes.
- Red sandy soil with rock and caliche, plus Canaan Mountain runoff to plan drainage around.

How do septic permits work on the Arizona side?
Through Mohave County Development Services Environmental Quality at (928) 757-0903. You file a Notice of Intent to Discharge under a Type 4.02 general permit, a passing percolation test comes first, and after construction you file for discharge authorization and a final inspection.
Do you cover Cane Beds and Moccasin?
Yes, both are in Mohave County out along Arizona 389 and both are on our regular route.
