Hurricane has grown by roughly a third since 2020, and that growth shows up as new subdivisions, shops and infill lots all over town and out toward Sand Hollow and the Highway 9 corridor. We are about twenty-five minutes away in Apple Valley.
Inside city limits most lots are on sewer; on the edges and in the county pockets, septic is still common. Either way the ground is the same mix of red soil, caliche and rock the whole area is known for.
